Rare Disease
Today in a country with an average population of 1.15 Billion, which we call as "INDIA" has been constantly in an influence of change and has been moving rather growing rapidly in all aspects, be it economy, infrastructure, technology, development, education and also awareness which has slowly developed into every individual's mind but yet there are many aspects which still remains untouched, unchanged and amongst this "untouched matter" there lies a matter which hardly comes into someone's mind is the "HEALTH CONCERN" of a developing and overgrowing country like India...Health Concern in our country is that topic which should be concerned the most amongst all other, the reason why health concern should be given importance in our country is because it has become the biggest threat to our country just after poverty. Rare Health Diseases which is the burning issue in our country which prevails in those 40% of our country's total population who are actually below poverty line, the people who are below poverty line are affected from every angle, be it struggle to get a day's food, to get wages, to run their families the most important problem which these people suffer is lack of awareness. Regarding health concerns there are activites which our government does every year and almost every month, they try to create awareness by making advertisements by roping in big personalities and dignitaries from around the country, but still there are many families which remain ignorant about all this.
Rare Diseases, the word itself explains it's meaning the disease which are very rare and such are the diseases which has just started affecting people in India, especially in remote areas of karnataka, maharashtra and bihar..The only rare disease whose cases have now started coming up in recent months is : KAWASAKI
As strange the name looks same is disease....
KAWASAKI :
Kawasaki Disease, a disease which is one of the rare disease which is found in India is an Isochemic Heart Disease, which usually strikes infants from age group of new born to 4 years, this disease is the most common cause of heart disease in children which in one of the few million cases can be detected provided if there are facilities available which can actually cure this disease at a very early stage...this disease is also a major reason for coronary thrombosis(blood clots) and coronary artery aneurysms which can ultimately lead to chronic heart ailment. The most strange part of the disease is that it's cause is unknown, even doctors are not sure as to what can be the major reason for the disease. Few symptoms of the disease are : 1> Abrupt onset of Fever
2> Vomiting
3> Nausea
4> Reddened Lips and oral mucosa
5> Arthritis
6> Gall Bladder Diseases
Illness that young children get, in more medical terms acute self-limited immune-mediated form of vasculitis. Charecterized by a sudden onset of fever and rashes. Most common form of rashes is non specific diffuse , eruption if flattened papules. Rashes cover entire body including trunk and extremities. Reddened "strawberry" tongue occurs. The worst part of the disease is that there is no diagnosis available for the disease and yet there has been no cure available for the disease. Surprisingly there has been a singlecase in Karnataka of kawasaki disease which are:
1> 1st May 2010 in Bangalore : A 4yr. old child was diagnosed with kawasaki disease and doctors were clueless as this was the only case in karnataka and amongst six rare cases in India! Shown above is "reddened strawberry" tongue of kawasaki patient along with it is an infants body full of non-specific diffuse rashes..

- This disease has only six rare cases in our country and the major part is that still doctors have not been able to find a proper cure for the disease and this disease is gradually spreading in remote places where there is no awareness regarding the disease. The disease in later stage if left unattended develops into a major incurable chronic heart disease.Kawasaki Disease is the major health problem which is affecting our children and also has become the major threat for our society
